President's Message

In the fall of 1999, on the fertile valleys between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, a large plot of land was purchased with the hope that it would serve as the future training ground for India's brightest youth before they entered into the competitive fray that is our world economy. It was felt that this place, this college, could mold itself upon the tradition of ancient India's Great institution as well as arm itself with the tools that would put it at the technological and educational forefront of this nation's great contemporary colleges.

A vision slowly came into being of a college with the latest facilities, especially in the Computer sciences, a venerated teaching staff, and a myriad of opportunities to expose its students to sister institutions in one of the world's most technologically advanced nations, the United States. Thus, the land was developed, structures were built, and staff selected, and out of this painstaking effort was born the Eastern Academy of Science & Technology (EAST). We welcome you to an exciting world where educational desires breed opportunity and opportunity breeds future success. To your peers, you can say, "The world is changing, and we are changing with it".
